Innocent Until Proven Innocent
In this piece, I wanted to reflect on the "white lies" told by white women that perpetuate the myth of their innocence: to explore their quieter forms of racialized violence. Here I have complied images of six different white women: 1. Carolyn Donham, 2. Hillary Clinton, 3. Dana Schutz, 4. Taylor Swift, 5. Abigail Fisher 6. Diana Furukawa. I hope to participate in the ingrained rewriting narratives of innocence and guilt that overrepresent the "crimes" of black people and render white women as victims.
