For all of us in the postmodern world, the question of where we are really from– of where we belong– can be challenging. But for people who are multi-racial, this question is often further complicated, as places and narratives are read onto the face. I interviewed several multi-racial people about where they call home, where they feel connected to, and what their parents, grandparents, and so on might say to those questions. Ultimately, I hope to open up new visual languages through which to see race as nuanced.
