For many people of multiracial or diasporic experience, the question of where we belong can feel especially potent. The following portraits are digitally constructed out of maps of the many places that my subjects and their ancestors have found moments of home. These shifting, multi-layered compilations offer a much richer answer to the ever-present question of “what are you?” than any quantum could.
